This excerpts shows the first section of “Vanishing Points,” a performance I created in 1985. It was presented at the Goddard Riverside Community Center in New York City. It is interesting to note that the collage of “telephone sounds” in this scene consists of sounds which are now all obsolete.
Carlo Adinolfi does a wiggly dance at the end.
Bob Goldberg talks on the phone.
Beth Ullmann (left) and Ruth Q. Leibowitz (right) are “Beatrice.”
Nancee Novak puts an egg up to the vanishing point.
Jamie Spracher “breaks an egg” over Bob’s head.
The text in the beginning is by Bernadette Mayer.
